Project Description

Prestigious, waterfront development located on Varsity Parade with frontage to Lake Orr.

Constructed in four stages, the development incorporated small lots with common build to boundary property lines accommodating double story dwellings.

Features include inverted laneways, pavement and threshold treatments, waterfront park adjacent the lake, community areas with shelters, seats etc, onsite underground irrigation tank, boardwalk along Lake Orr, connections to hike and bike path networks, and linkages to Varsity Central and Market Square via a pedestrian bridge.

The nature of development required innovative servicing solutions outside standard Council guidelines, using 'The Landing' as a prototype. In particular, new concepts for roads, stormwater and roofwater drainage and sewer reticulation were derived in coordination with the development managers and Council authorities.
